Post something that you find strange about your current ride.
I find my MPG’s are about the same whether I baby or beat. Sometimes higher when I beat it, actually.

technically , if i had a VW and never drove it , then it wouldn’t throw a CEL.

Never driving your VW (esp if a Golf) would also be an anomaly. :)

My mom’s 2000 Honda Odyssey has 94,000 miles and is on its original transmission

It’s a Honda. It should be only about 1/3 through with that transmission, shouldn’t it?
We had a Montana, put over 270000km (167000mi) on the original tranny.

J series Honda Odysseys have an ongoing TSB warning about premature wear on the 4 speed auto trans. And by premature wear, I mean It requires a transmission replacement every 20k miles.
